At home in England honoring the women of Highclere Castle

Hosted by Lady Fiona Carnarvon

From her home at Highclere Castle, our good friend Fiona, the Countess of Carnarvon, takes time to reflect on the lives of the inspiring women who have come before her. One such woman was Lady Almina, married to the 5th Earl of Carnarvon, who responded to the outbreak of World War I by turning Highclere Castle into a hospital. Lady Carnarvon also recounts the story of Lady Catherine, who helped save this great English estate from being sold following the death of the 5th Earl, keeping it in the possession of the Carnarvon family to this day.
