EncoreEast is a performance company of mature dancers based in the East of England. Originally managed by Dance East, they became an independent dance company in 2020. Organically, they are developing a model of distributed leadership and are committed to offering employment opportunities to dance artists. Alongside their company practice, they independently attend workshops to explore diverse approaches and genres which, through individual learning, feeds into the shared experience of the company. They have been part of dance films with Protein and New Adventures and have taken part in site-specific dance research workshops.
