John Freedman, MD, is a global studies scholar who has visited and studied Asia extensively, serving as lecturer and expedition leader for educational travel programs including National Geographic Expeditions, Smithsonian Journeys and Yale Educational Travel. A graduate of Brown University and Yale School of Medicine, he retired from clinical practice to pursue his passion for travel and teaching full time.
