Charlotte Brooks is the art curator for the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS). She has worked with the botanical art collections for more than 15 years at the RHS Lindley Library in Vincent Square, London, which looks after approximately 30,000 illustrations. She also serves as the secretary to the RHS Botanical Art Judging Panel, which sees contemporary artists from all over the world seek opportunities to exhibit at the RHS Botanical Art Shows. Charlotte published her first book in 2019, RHS Botanical Illustration: The Gold Medal Winners, and has published short articles on aspects of botanical art. Her ongoing research interests in nineteenth century Anglo-Chinese botanical art comes to fruition in early 2022 on her next book about orchid paintings.
